Pokemon Cosplay: What's Hot?
Pokemon, as one of the world's most popular video games, is an ideal subject for cosplay. There are many options for cosplay, whether you want to dress up as your favorite Trainer or a Team Rocket villain.

Cosplayers can choose to make their costumes out of anything, from fabric to yarn to plastic and foam. It's all up to them to decide the look they are going for. Some Pokemon fans like to keep the colors original, while others prefer to go with a stylized version.

There's no end to the creativity when it comes to Pokemon Cosplay. A Pokemon character could be dressed up as a mecha with lights and sound. A trainer can also be transformed into a princess by wearing a long gown and a wig.

Pokemon cosplay is not limited to the trainers and leaders of the gyms. It also includes the other characters in the game. Ash Ketchum, the Pokemon explorer, is one example. Another are the female generational heroes Misty or May. In the same way, female Pokemon trainers such as Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy have been portrayed in human form.

A popular Pokemon cosplay style is the gijinka, which anthropomorphizes nonhuman characters into female characters. You can do this with anything, from a kimono seifuku to an outfit inspired the Ice-form Evolution of Eevee Glaceon. Cosplayers can, for example, create a dress with a train and embellish it with the Pokemon's icy-blue fur. Then they can top it with a wig.

Even female Pokemon clones can be cosplayed. These include the cute Marill, Plusle/Minun or the spooky Mimikyu. Mimikyu has a unique personality and looks like Pikachu, but it is also a clone. It's no surprise that someone would choose to cosplay this creepy creature.

A fully-armored Pokemon could be the perfect way to impress at a convention. This Pikachu battle armor features light-up elements, a cute symbol, and a sound that can be activated with a wristband button. This costume can be paired with a Pikachu standard to create a Pokemon duo.

If you want a more dangerous Pokemon costume, then the Charizard is a great choice. It has a dragon-like head and a fiery torso. Don't forget to bring your flaming blade! This costume can be found in the Special Research Rewards of Pokemon GO Festival 2021.
