Mereka ini sebenarnya digolongkan beast karena jika being, mereka tidak suka disamakan / berbagi status tersebut dengan Vampir dan Hag.
Ciri-cirinya.. Kepala, dada, serta lengan manusia. tapi badannya kuda. seperti zodiak sagitarius bukan?
Mereka dipercaya berasal dari Yunani dan koloni mereka banyak ditemukan di Eropa.
Walaupun badan mereka ini setengah manusia, setengah kuda, tapi mereka bukanlah makhluk setengah keturunan. Saat lahir yang memang dalam bentuk dan jenis Centaurs sendiri.

Beliau pernah mengajar ramalan di Hogwarts pada tahun 1996-1998.
Centaurs dikenal memiliki kemampuan dalam magical healing, ramalan, pemanah dan astronomi.
Mereka memiliki cara sendiri untuk melindungi dan menyembunyikan diri dari muggle dan hidup berkelompok berkisar 10 – 50 anggota.
Tentunya mereka ini pandai berbicara.. tapi mereka tidak suka dihina, apalagi kalau menyangkut garis keturunannya. KKM-nya XXXX bukan karena terlalu agresif, tapi karena hewan ini diperlakukan dengan penuh hormat seperti unicorn & manusia duyung.
Ciri lainnya adalah warna mata dan rambut mereka bervariasi, warna kulitnya putih atau kecoklatan. mereka ini juga tinggi, mungkin lebih dari 7 kaki. dan mereka hidup di hutan.
