um Standard zu entwickeln der aus 2 Teilen besteht:
1. ITU-T Study Group 16 und Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG) veröffentlichen H.265 standard als ITU-T H.265
2. ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 29/WG 11 Motion Picture Experts Group (MPEG) veröffentlichen den HEVC standard als ISO/IEC 23008-2
HEVC Ziel: Doppelte Kompressions effizienz wie H.264 / AVC
Effizienz soll abhängig sein von Inhalt und encoder(Komprimierer) Einstellungen.
->Bei gleicher Qualität: H.265 datei halb so groß wie H.264
->Bei gleicher datei Größe:H.265 Visuelle Qualität deutlich besser
Wie kann HEVC doppelt so gut sein?
motion compensated prediction. = Bewegungsvorhersage
Pixel zeigen auf gleiche Pixel Blöcke/Gruppen
H.264/AVC hat makroblöcke bis zu 16×16 pixel --- HEVCbis zuo 64 x 64 pixel.
Blöcke können in Teilblöcke unterteilt werden zb; 16×16, 8×8, and 4×4
There are 35 intra-picture directions, compared with only 9 for H.264/AVC.
HEVC includes Adaptive Motion Vector Prediction, a new method to improve inter-prediction.
