Two-seater Shirt Trump
The only thing that's worse than the worst thing that can happen to a Donald Trump supporter is a Donald Trump supporter who's obsessed with video games and is able to access basic video editing software. This combination has resulted in the above pro-Trump ad that, if anything else, demonstrates that the GOP frontrunner is completely in a state of disconnection with reality.
The video was created by what one can be certain is a group of overly-caffeinated men who've played so much Call of Duty that they've lost contact with reality, the clip unconvincingly markets Trump as an action game's protagonist (I believe?). The clip is dark and thumping songs and images of Trump as well as Florida Governor. The ad for Ron DeSantis veers from funny to upsetting as fast as it does.
The ad features some of the most offensive images and one of them shows the Republican candidate with mobster Paul Merlino. twoseatershirt posed in the picture despite the fact that his past was filled with a lot of time in prison and was carrying a list of convictions. The campaign's apology for the image hasn't quelled fears that Trump doesn't have an effective and efficient process to screen people he meets and that he is potentially too close with terrorists and criminals to be president.
The ad was shared on the campaign's twitter feed at the exact time Trump surrendered to the authorities in New York City, and agreed to not contest 34 counts of felony in relation to hush-money payments which he used to fund the presidential election in 2016. The ad shows fake mugshots and the words "Trump 45-47" over it. It also features a quote that appears to be taken from the sci-fi role-playing series Mass Effect: "I'm not an advocate for democracy, I'm a friend of power." The campaign offers the t-shirt at $36 on its website for merchandise.
