A new website called SEN Experts has been launched with the ambition of helping parents navigate the special educational needs (SEN) process in the united kingdom.
The new website aims to help parents learn how to access SEN support for their children and provides tools together with advice on how to approach the new Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process, a system that has been introduced to replace the old Statementing system.
The new SEN Experts site is intended to level the playing field for parents and help them navigate the difficult and challenging EHCP process. It offers a bird's eye view of the EHCP system, from the original request for an assessment to the state appeals process. The website may be used by parents to plan for any difficulties they may encounter and provide key information they will need.
