KPers Life Insurance provides individuals with an opportunity to protect their family. The plan provides up to $7 million of coverage for the benefit of employees, and is a form of employer-sponsored health insurance. Employees may not need to meet strict standards for coverage, as long as they pay premiums according to a pre-defined plan. In addition, the policy pays an initial premium, plus a percentage of benefits on a monthly basis.
Employee Life Insurance offered in either $1000 increments with an initial minimum of $500 and up to a maximum of three times the employee's gross income or the lesser of the employee's monthly salary and three times that gross income. The premium amount is also determined by the age of the insured, length of employment with KPers and if a dependent is involved. The insured may elect not to take out additional coverage through the policy.
KPers Life Insurance also offers coverage for accidental death and survivors of accidental death. The insured has to pay an additional premium if the insured does not select a fixed premium amount. The policy also covers accidental injury to self or family, but does not cover loss of wages resulting from an accident or death of the insured.
In addition to life insurance, KPers also offer disability and annuity insurance, along with long term care insurance (LTCC). The policies offered by KPers are designed for the benefit of all covered employees. The premiums are set depending on the experience level of the insured, and the company may provide incentives such as reduced rates if the insured is referred or recommends the company.
The life insurance offered by KPers Insurance includes death benefits, renewable insurance and investment. The policies are designed to provide financial security to the beneficiary. The insured is required to pay premiums, but may choose to pay an upfront fee to get the policy immediately or to pay the entire premium when it becomes due.
The renewable insurance is also provided by the insurer, which pays benefits over a specified period of time. The premiums are then renewed for the duration of the insurance. A fixed premium amount may be required, or a percentage of the insured's wages may be required. to cover the total premium amount each month.
Investment plans offered by the company cover the investment of money in the insurance company. These benefits also cover the costs of living expenses during disability. and may include the purchase of an estate planning service if the insured is unable to work or live on his or her own.
Life insurance is designed to provide coverage for the entire period of one's career, and may continue to pay benefits throughout the life of the insured. KPers Life Insurance provides benefits up to a certain level for those who die while employed with the company.
