It is almost guaranteed that we won't be making much[ if any] money playing the underground shows. So, if I'm playing a show for free, it is reasonable to think of a setup that's "kind of" or totally free. And we have that. We have already observed that we can put together and play a Amp Sim setup at a moments notice. If we work on it we can rely on that more than anything. Some key points :
1. Tone : Yes, Tube amps sound better..... BUT [!] you have to mic it up "Properly" and EQ it to make it anywhere usable. Amp Sims are already suited to the mix.
2. Portability: Tube amps require a pickup truck to carry...
3. Accessibility: Tube amps need a foot switch to control , so will the Amp Sim setup. I can order a MIDI controller [or look for it here]. And it's plug and play. no dialing in.
4. Stability: Tube amps blow out. especially when cranked up loud. Processors break down to a point of no return. If I work on it , I can make a computer 110% stable for a 20 min performance. Relax.
So, what should we save our money for? THE FUTURE ! We will need a lot of money to record mix and master a single track. ................... [চলবে]
