In a tempest wild and desperate, I do pine,
For love, my heart's desire, elusive, and fair.
Its absence, like a void, does undermine
My weary soul, consumed by deep despair.

A sailor lost upon a stormy sea,
Searching for land and a haven from the storm,
the compass guiding me to be
Secure somewhere in which I may find true form.

For it is a tempest that consumes all souls,
A raging fire that scorches all I hold,
Yet in which arms, I find my heart made whole,
A haven from the chaos, fierce and bold.

And like the poet, I descend into the deep,
Love's inferno, a torment so profound,
But in her eyes, a promise of paradise I keep,
A respite from the darkness that surrounds.

Oh, cruel fate, that keeps her from my side,
And leaves me here, alone, in sorrow's thrall.
I yearn to feel her touch, her love abide,
To banish darkness, like a beacon tall.

And like a specter, eluding my grasp,
A roaring whisper that leaves me in disarray,
Striving to bridge the gap, but still I gasp,
For love's sweet fruits seem just beyond my share.

Yet, in this madness, hope finds a way,
For her eyes are a glimpse of heaven's grace.
A fleeting smile, a tender word's display,
Brings solace to my heart, a warm embrace.

For she is the tempest, fierce and uncontrolled,
Whose wildness captivates my very core.
Her warmth, a beacon, guiding through the cold,
My sanctuary, forever to adore.

So let the tempest rage and ardor be,
For in your love I find tranquility.
In heaven's grace my heart finds sanctuary,
Forever bound, my love, eternally.
