With a few tools and a small amount of technical know-how, it is possible to wire your own power antenna - even if your car doesn't have one already installed. The red power antenna wire needs to be secured to the red wire on the rear of the stereo, and you can typically find the color-coded documentation that explains how to match them up. Of course, this is just one type of wiring technique when it comes to power antennas - there are other alternatives available too.
To access the car's electrical system, the first step is to detach the stereo from its fixed position in the dash. Take out a handful of screws to liberate it from its fixings and once that's done, you should be able to locate the red wire–which links it to the car–and observe where it connects via a connector.
