Turn Your Business Into a Lead Generating Machine
There are two forms of people who own their own businesses or professional practices. website that work in their business, and the ones who work on their business.

Here is the abbreviated version of what these ideas mean: working "in" your business means to treat it as a job. Day to day activities that fall under the very important category of "minding the store," but never looking beyond the business-as-a-job mindset.

In contrast, working "on" your organization means to address it being an appreciating asset. To intelligently market and grow your business so that you will leverage not only your personal efforts but you also leverage the efforts of your employees as well as your marketing.

Not sure which category you match? Here's the test: Will your organization die when you die, or will you be in a position to pass it along or will your family have the ability to sell it as an asset? If it is not an asset that appreciates in value, you have been working "in" your organization.

Clearly, "minding the store" is essential, but those forms of activities can never function as top priority. The very best priority of any business, the most crucial activity of any business owner, should be generating leads.

Without new leads, even the most thriving business will eventually dry out and you will have no store in your thoughts.

Here are some ideas to flourish in this all important business activity of generating leads:

Create ads that pull in potential customers at all stages of these buying cycles. Most ads only target those who find themselves ready to buy at this time, but miss those who find themselves just beginning to consider buying your service or product.
Appeal to people at all stages of their buying cycles by offering free information. Create ads that offer free tips on buying fuel efficient vehicles, selecting the right air conditioning unit, or other free information that will assist your potential customers.
Use robots to fulfill inquiries. Use voice mail systems to provide a recorded message to people who contact for information, or use auto responders for individuals who request information by email. Robots allow you and your employees to invest your time with individuals who are buying now, as the robot handles the follow up for those who have not yet reached the final stage of their buying cycle.
Track your ads. Gauge the amount of inquiries and eventual sales that derive from each ad. Test one ad against the other and focus your money on the winner. But keep testing to help you constantly and continually improve the performance of your advertising.
Train read more to assist you measure your advertising results. You have paid a lot of money on your own advertising so don"t fumble at night by failing to put your entire team behind tracking their results.
Starting today, decide to work on your organization. Focus your energies on the all-important job of generating leads. When you make leads your priority, your organization will still be healthy and grow.
