How do you make a gnome costume for Halloween
A gnome outfit is a great idea to celebrate Halloween. Gnomes have been part of folklore for many centuries. They are typically depicted in various cultures as small men sporting white beards who tend their gardens in the evening. These fun characters are loved by many and bring some whimsy to the landscape or garden.

An easy outfit, paired with a bit of imagination will turn you into one these magical creatures. This cute costume is easy to create and only requires the most basic of craft materials. This cute costume is perfect for Halloween, whether you're in search of a DIY costume for your child, or for couples.

The first step to this gnome costume is to create the iconic hat. Begin by taking measurements of the circumference of your head, then adding a few inches to allow for seam allowance and ideal fit. Draw an X on a poster board with your ruler's edge. Then draw an arc of 13 inches straight below. This will be the length at the top of your hat.

On the front or back of the hat, draw two parallel lines which form an upside-down V. Cut a straight line starting at the middle X of each of these lines to the top of your poster board. Repeat the same step on the other face of the hat. This is the length of the brim. hat.

To complete the hat you will need an elastic hatband. Make a 2-inch long strip of thin elastic around an hat's circumference before gluing it. Place a small dab of glue on the inside of the hatband, to hold it in the right place.

Wear dark pants and green shirts with large buttons on the front. Brown work boots are the perfect footwear. To make a more comfortable Halloween costume, wear sneakers. Don't forget to complete your look by adding beards! For men and women who are clean-shaven the beard is made from cotton balls that are shaped to look like the beard of a gnome and then secured by hot glue.

Once you've put the gnome outfit together, take photos for adorable family photos. It is also possible to dress up your family as the whole gnome family, from the gnomes of Dad and Mom to the tiniest baby to the largest gnome. With these costumes everybody will be set for an evening of Halloween trick-or-treating and celebrating the holiday of Halloween.
