chelseagrinmerch from Utah dropped a metaphorical bomb onto the deathcore scene when they released their debut album DESOLATION of EDEN in 2010. The group would later release two EP's and two full length records before heading out on the road in support of Emmure and The Amity Affliction. In late 2012 drummer Dan Jones left the band to focus on his BSc Degree leaving bassist David Flinn and guitarist Jake Harmond as the remaining members of Chelsea Grin. In the beginning of 2013, the group performed with Skin Deep on their European tour as well as performing at numerous festivals. They also recorded and wrote the Evolve EP. Later, in 2015 they were the support for The Amity of Affliction on the band's North American tour.
The band's release in 2018 Suffer in Hell, on one rpm, delivered another dose of creative beatdown aggression. This album is more complex and intelligent than their previous releases with the addition of intentionally moody production and a stronger perception of an audiovisual that is unified. This album is a testament to their current strengths and is the highest level of what they -- and deathcore overall can accomplish.
