College Football Schedule Release 2023
At the start of each college football season comes the excitement and anticipation for highly anticipated matchups that carry significant meaning for fans, players, and pundits alike. These matchups often set the course of narrative storyline of this season's narrative for everyone involved - fans, players, pundits alike.

The 2023 college football schedule features numerous intriguing matchups. Notably, LSU and Florida State will rematch last year's close contest at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
SEC

The SEC made clear from the start that their top priority for 2023 would be maintaining traditional rivalries, and they certainly achieved that objective. But they also created opportunities for some programs to balance out their scheduling more easily as well as positioning several teams to contend for playoff spots.

Texas A&M will enjoy renewing their annual rivalry game against Texas as well as hosting Notre Dame this season, after Jimbo Fisher's disappointing campaign last fall. Meanwhile, Georgia will travel to Tennessee and face LSU twice during Kirby Smart's tenure at Georgia - two games which the Aggies certainly need in 2023!

Notable games in 2024 will include Alabama-Auburn, Tennessee-LSU, and the Egg Bowl rematch. With only one year to test out its new schedule before deciding its permanent structure, 2024 serves as an indicator of how things will play out within the conference in its inaugural year of testing its new structure - its results dictating its plan moving forward.
Big Ten

The Big Ten schedule release 2023 features some of the premier rivalries in college football. NBC will open with West Virginia versus Penn State as its opening game; while CBS will feature a game between undefeated teams. ncaa football schedule provides plenty of choice in its 3:30 slot - be it Pitt-WVU backyard brawling or Notre Dame against NC State.

After those games are played, one of the league's annual Black Friday match-ups may include Illinois against Northwestern or Wisconsin versus Minnesota, among others. Furthermore, Michigan and Rutgers could meet in one-off crossover matches as well.

Peacock, NBCUniversal's direct-to-consumer platform, will stream several Big Ten games live. On September 2, Colorado and TCU will face off in a game featuring Peacock - on the same day Ohio State hosts Iowa for their home opener versus Iowa! Additionally, on December 2 in Indianapolis between the top two teams in their respective standings (this contest will then go onto become part of the Big Ten Championship Game!). The victor will advance further.
ACC

The 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference schedule was unveiled Monday and it looks promising for another exciting campaign in 2023. There will be several marquee matchups this fall - such as Florida State taking on LSU on Sept 3 in Orlando for their inaugural matchup of 2023; an ideal candidate for ESPN College GameDay's coverage on this particular Sunday.

The 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference schedule features three primary rivalries for each team and rotating series against all 10 conference members, eliminating divisions and guaranteeing all conference members play each other twice within four years.

Virginia Tech fans will learn of their 2023 schedule tonight when ACC Network unveils it during The Huddle at 7 p.m. ET. Coaches from all ACC teams will also join to discuss key matchups on The Huddle broadcast; fans can watch both on ACC Network and the ESPN app.
Pac-12

If you want a conference that will make life difficult for every team, look no further than the Pac-12. This Power Five conference features a full roster of rivalry games each season including USC hosting UCLA to open play and Utah traveling to UCLA, Oregon and Washington State later on in its schedule.

Utah will enjoy a bye week during Week Six before hosting Colorado in Week 7. One positive aspect is that its tougher opponents seem more evenly spread out this year compared to last season.

Outside of league play, Colorado's nonconference schedule will include an opener at Mississippi State and home game against UTEP; which could cause some upset amongst CU fans about getting such an unfavorable draw. Jon Wilner of Wilner Hotline provides more details.
Big East

Wednesday will bring college football fans one step closer to kicking off their 2023 season, when major networks unveil game times for Week 0 games. The regular season will kick off Saturday, Sept. 2.

This year's Big East schedule promises plenty of excitement. Following the addition of BYU, UCF, Houston and Cincinnati teams to its ranks, each existing member will face two of these new teams and vice versa.

Xavier, UConn and Villanova all possess the potential to qualify for the NCAA Tournament, while Marquette could emerge as a potential top seed; its Eagles have seen great success recently including three national titles won since 2010.

In 2023, the Atlantic Coast Conference has eliminated divisions, creating an unconventional conference schedule. Clemson will face Duke for their title defense while North Carolina and Florida State face each other twice this season as well as six non-Power Five opponents which could pose challenges given they lost three such matches last season.
