When Lea Michele purchased this California house, she was looking for a spot to "recover and relax and recharge." She appears to have found it. The actress recently sold the Brentwood, Calif., home for $3 million. The spacious, bright and open area features floor-to ceiling windows and an outdoor/indoor arrangement. The roof deck has stunning mountain views.


A spacious kitchen is available in the home with a double island and plenty of counter space. This is a great place to entertain guests. There's also a comfy family room as well as a work space with the fireplace. For extra privacy, the property is fenced and has a gate along the driveway.



Michele is busy since Glee concluded in 2013 with a slew of roles in TV and movies. She was the lead character in Dorothy in The Wiz, portrayed Rachel Berry on Broadway in Spring Awakening and starred in the NBC's remake of Smash. She has also produced several short films as well as directed several digital videos. Recently, she tied the knot with fashion executive Zandy Rich.


Glee could have been a bad show, but it did succeed in one way: promoting music. The show influenced Gen-Z and younger viewers to enjoy music while older musicians needed to revisit the catalogs of their past. It also put an ethnic spin on stereotypes from high school, which is the reason it became so popular in the first instance.


What really created the success of the show was the cast of characters who were all on their best each week. Other actors would not be able to portray the characters that are so unique and complex. Lea Michele rightfully earned her Broadway talent for her role as Rachel Berry, while Cory Monteith was flawless as Finn Hudson.


There's plenty of talent within the rest of this cast. Mark Salling Jane Lynch Chris Colfer Samonas, all of them give outstanding performances.


Glee is a hilarious humorous, joyful and fun show that shouldn't be taken too seriously. It crosses a lot of lines and may be controversial. But, it is not the sole reason to watch it. Rather, it should be watched because the acting is excellent and the songs are wonderful.


The show may not be for anyone, but if seeking a lighthearted escape that's not going to hurt your brain or lower your social standing, it's well worth a look. The finales of the show tend to be positive, and viewers usually take away valuable lessons. There's tension and anger, but no heavy tragedy. Glee's world can be silly however, it's ok. It's sugar-coated escapism with fantastic cast members and outstanding writing. Who wouldn't love that?
