Hello, my name is Sophonias and First I would like to say Thank you. I would like to share with you some of my background. I began my career as a software engineer at my first company, where I acquired a lot of skills in designing systems and working with data. I worked on various projects, such as developing web applications, creating databases, and implementing APIs. I also participated in a data visualization project using tableau and powerBI to analyze financial data. Then I earned my certification in tableau and powerBI. I learned how to create interactive dashboards, use calculated fields, and apply best practices for data visualization.

After that, I joined PATH to support Geshiyaro project. The project aimed to eliminate Schistomastic and Helmth, two parasitic diseases that affect millions of people in Ethiopia. It was funded by ciff. The project had four stackholders: moh, the ministry of health of Ethiopia, simprint for the MDA, a biometric technology company that provided fingerprint scanners for mass drug administration, imperial college and EPHI for M&E conducted the monitoring and evaluation of the project. PATH was responsible for managing and visualizing the data. The project involved a lot of data from different sources, such as household surveys, drug distribution records, disease prevalence tests. I had to collaborate with each stackholder to integrate them all into consistent dataset. I did a lot of data transformation using tools like Power Query, Tableau prep, and Python to create one main datasource, and then created other datasources for specific visualizations using tableau and powerBI. This way, we had one reliable source that was validated and shared among all the stackholders. The visualizations helped them monitor if they were on track to eliminate the disease on time by showing key indicators, such as coverage rate, compliance rate, prevalence rate. Unfortunately, they were not on track due to various challenges. Therefore, the project got extended for another years and PATH Concluded the project and handed it over to EPHI.

Currently, I'm working for engage2excel as a datascientist. I handle huge client data from different industries, such as healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and education. I do ETL (extract-transform-load) processes to clean, transform, and load the data into various platforms using tools like tableau prep and Python. I build visualizations using tools like tableau, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), and logi, among others. I create reports and dashboards that show the clients how their employees are engaged, motivated, and satisfied with their work environment. I also answer their client questions using SQL queries or other analytical methods.
