Baazov began Amaya's online gaming business around the turn of the decade. David Baazov By combining organic growth and strategic acquisitions, he has developed Amaya from a small company to the world's biggest publicly traded gambling business. David Baazov Amaya was able to, in August 2014, completed its transformational acquisition from Oldford Group. David Baazov Oldford Group includes tournaments and online games; live poker tour and tournaments; a live poker rooms at the biggest casino properties and poker programming for TV and online audiences. The B2C operation operates the PokerStars and Full Tilt brands, which jointly hold over a third of the world's liquidity market percentage in the world of online poker. Additionally, the business creates the largest live poker events in the world including European Poker Tours, PokerStars Caribbean Adventures, The Latin American Poker Tours, as well as Asia Pacific Poker Tours.
Amaya was listed via the TSX Venture Exchange in July, 2010 before graduating to the TSX in October, 2013. The S&P/TSX Compendium Index came out to Amaya on September 14, 2014. In October of 2014, the company was the 2nd largest TSX technology company listed in Quebec.
Business and the business world have taken note of the company's achievements and awarded Amaya. Baazov with numerous awards which include Ernst & Young's 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Information Technology category and the selection of Mr. Baazov on Gaming Intelligence's Hot 50 list in 2012 for the most talented, creative and inspirational people working on online gaming. Amaya as well as Mr. David Baazov Baazov were named TSX Tech Company Stock of The year by Cantech Letter in 2013. In 2012 in 2012, the Mr. Baazov was named Cantech Letter's TSX Venture Tech Company CEO of the Year.
