Review of Curb Your Enhusiasm Episode 10
Curb Your Enthusiasm has been doing this for the past twenty years, and while it does occasionally branch out into radical ideas, it's at its best when it sticks to its strengths. Season 10 is starting to look like it might be back in its groove and with Larry becoming angry over seemingly insignificant things. If it's getting a reprimand by the manager of the restaurant after passing by, or finding a new way to humiliate his ex-wife Cheryl, this episode puts the whole thing on display. This episode is a nice reminder that the most enjoyable aspect of the show comes when it's about a brash unhinged, lazy man who fails to make the same mistakes he did in the past.


The greatest strength of this particular episode is the fact that it seems to focus on the reality that Larry isn't just getting older, but that his tolerance for things has dwindled. It is amusing and frustrating that Larry isn't able to take off with a joke when he claims that he only wears his maga hat at specific places in the town. Larry also makes use of it to frighten people away.


This episode also highlights the importance of Schaffer and David are willing to address certain issues of politics without going overboard. This takes some skill especially when dealing with something as sensitive such as #MeToo. The show does so in an easy-going manner, with some of the best humor coming from Jeff Greene complaining about being confused with Harvey Weinstein and Larry accidentally ogling a tray of pigs wrapped in blankets, which actually contain Ham.


Like Curb Your Enthusiasm Canvas , this one features some stellar supporting characters and. Lane Michaelson plays Cheryl's mom who allows her son to purchase anything using her credit card, which includes an engagement ring made of diamonds. We also watch Leon (J.B. Smoove) and his girlfriend attempting to create an "Spite Store" that would allow people who can't leave their jobs to use the bathroom and pay someone else to watch them for them.



This is an excellent start to the season and it's refreshing to find the show returning to its roots after years of experimenting with different models and characters. If the remainder of the episodes are as strong as this one, it might be the best season for Curb Your Enthusiasm in quite some time.
