Barry teams up with Batman and Supergirl to stop General Zod and return to their original timeline. Despite their efforts, they are unable to succeed and Barry realizes that altering the past has consequences. He eventually accepts his mother's death and learns to move forward.
The story follows (Barry Allen), also known as (The Flash), who is haunted by the loss of his mother. He can run faster than light, enabling him to travel through time. (Barry) attempts to save his mother by going back in time but ends up in a timeline where he doesn't have his superpowers yet. In this timeline, (General Zod) threatens Earth, but without (Superman's) presence.
