One day, Alexander noticed a beautiful apple tree in the village. He wanted to have the perfect apple from the tree, so he decided to climb up and pick one.
But as he was climbing, he slipped on a patch of ice and fell off the tree. He landed on a big pile of snow and was so embarrassed that he stormed off.
The next day, Alexander came back and tried to climb the tree again. But this time, he was so mean that he shook the tree and all the apples fell off.
The other kids in the village were so sad. They loved their apple tree and all of the delicious apples it provided.
Alexander felt terrible about what he had done, so he decided to make it up to the village by planting a new apple tree. He worked hard to make sure it was the best apple tree anyone had ever seen.
When the new tree blossomed, it was the most beautiful tree in the village. Every kid in the village was so happy to have a new apple tree, and Alexander was so proud of himself for making it happen.
From that day on, Alexander was no longer mean. He had learned his lesson and was now kind to everyone. And every winter, the village celebrated the anniversary of the new apple tree with a special apple picking party.
