HR menajeri adama testi geçtiğini, hangi gün saat kaçta iş başı yapması gerektiğinin kendisine e-mail yoluyla gönderileceğini söylüyor.
Ada, bilgisayarı olmadığını dolayısıyla e-mail kullanmadığını açıklıyor. HR menajeri: "Üzgünüm ama e-mailiniz yoksa siz sanal olarak var sayılamazsınız ve bu yüzden sizi işe alamayız." diyor.
Adam çaresizce dışarıya çıkıyor ve "Ne yapsam, ne etsem!" diye düşünürken cebindeki 10 dolar ile 20 kilo kiraz almaya karar veriyor. Kapı kapı gezerek kirazları satıyor ve 2 saat içinde sermayesini 2 katına çıkarıyor. "Bu şekilde ekmek paramı çıkarabilirim." diyerek her gün sabah erkenden kalkıyor ve kapı kapı dolaşarak kiraz satıyor.
Her gün sermayesi büyüyor. Derken küçük bir kamyonet alıyor ve satışa devam ediyor. Az bir zaman sonra büyük bir kamyon ve birkaç küçük kamyonet alıyor.

Bu adam şu anda Amerika'nın en büyükleri arasında yer alan bir nakliyat şirketinin sahibi. Bir gün ailesinin geleceğini düşünerek sigorta yaptırmak istiyor.
Sigorta şirketi kendisinden bir e-mail adresi istiyor. E-mail kullanmadığını söylediğinde sigortacı: "İlginç, e-mailiniz olmadan büyük bir holding kurmuşsunuz. Bir de e-mailiniz olsaydı neler yapardınız!" diyor.
Adamın cevabı: "E-mailim olsaydı şu an da Microsoft'ta tuvalet temizliyordum."
