CALL - A player can call if a wager has been placed on the current round. Calling means that the player must match the current wager placed by his or her opponent.

A small button (usually a black chip) that identifies a player as the dealer is located on the left side of the table. After every completed hand, the dealer buttons moves clockwise towards the next player.

After the third round of wagering, the dealer faces up to one community card. The betting starts again with the player in the same position and you can use all of your community cards or even none of your cards.

Basic poker is generally played "table-stakes", which means that you can only use the chips in play at each hand's beginning. The "All-In" rule is an extension of the table stakes rule. It states that a player cannot forfeit a hand if they do not have enough chips to call the bet. A player without enough cash to call a bet can be declared All-In. The player is entitled to the pot up to his final wager. All further action involving another player takes place in a'side pot', which is ineligible to an All-In player.

The dealer then proceeds to "burn one last card face-down on table" and then deals his final river card to board. There are now 5 cards on the table, however in Texas Holdem each player still may only use 3 of those cards to make their 5 card poker hand. Poker action begins at the small blind. Once again, a side is dealt a burncard and then the last card is dealt. This card is known as the river. There are now five cards at the table. So each player has their best five cards poker hand.

Another term that is used during rounds. A poker player can raise the bet to increase the amount, but that is not all he can do. If he does so, the other player will be forced to match the raise or fold instead.
