These licenses need to be renewed periodically. There are also licenses for nurses and dental hygienists. There is a division that handles claims of all types including automobile accidents, natural disasters, and medical malpractice.
There are many insurance professionals in Tennessee that help people obtain insurance. There are associations such as the Professional Association of Insurance Agents in Tennessee and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners of Tennessee. Both of these organizations have representatives who help newcomers to the state get licensed. They give classes and seminars on insurance topics. To become a member of any of these associations, you will need to attend a four-day training session followed by a written examination.
