Five COLLEGE STUDENTS, JAMES (early 20s, the group leader), SARAH, LUCAS, EMMA, and MIKE, sit around a table, engrossed in their group project. Suddenly, James winces in pain and clutches his shoulder.
JAMES
(grimacing)
Ah, my shoulder! I think it's dislocated.
SARAH
(concerned)
James, are you okay?
James struggles to speak, clearly in pain.
LUCAS
(quickly)
Someone call 911!
MIKE
(waiting for help to arrive)
We need to keep James comfortable. Emma, find something cold for his shoulder.
Emma rushes to the library's kitchenette.
EMMA
(nods)
On it.
SARAH
(to Lucas)
Lucas, we need to keep James distracted from the pain. Talk to him.
Lucas nods and takes a seat beside James.
LUCAS
(softly)
Hey, James, remember that epic road trip last summer?
James manages a weak smile, trying to focus on the positive memory.
INT. COLLEGE LIBRARY - KITCHENETTE - CONTINUOUS
Emma fills a plastic bag with ice.
INT. COLLEGE LIBRARY - TABLE - CONTINUOUS
Emma returns with the ice and gently places it on James's shoulder.
JAMES
(through pain)
Thanks, Emma.
MIKE
(addressing the group)
Let's stay organized. Sarah, grab a notebook and start documenting everything that's happening.
Sarah nods and starts taking notes.
INT. COLLEGE LIBRARY - LIBRARIAN'S DESK - CONTINUOUS
Mike approaches the LIBRARIAN (40s) and explains the situation, asking for a first aid kit.
INT. COLLEGE LIBRARY - TABLE - CONTINUOUS
Mike returns with a first aid kit.
MIKE
(handling the kit)
Let's immobilize James's shoulder until the paramedics arrive. Lucas, support his arm gently.
Lucas carefully supports James's injured arm.
EMMA
(relaying information)
Paramedics are on their way, guys.
INT. COLLEGE LIBRARY - TABLE - LATER
The paramedics arrive and attend to James.
PARAMEDIC
(to the group)
You did a great job keeping him stable. We'll take it from here.
The group watches as James is taken care of.
EXT. COLLEGE LIBRARY - DAY
The group stands outside the library, waiting for news about James. They share a moment of unity and concern.
SARAH
We've got your back, James. We'll make sure the project is completed and done well.
The others nod in agreement, showing their support for their injured friend.
FADE OUT.
