I am messaging because I need compensation following my experience.
in this message, I will explain why and provide evidence.

My baggage was late. More than a day late. it was supposed to be in Douala when I got there. It didn't come. Nor the next day.

Every time I called Brussels airlines, All I was told was that the systems are down. I have a recording of this phone call for evidence. I called multiple times Sunday and Monday. No help because systems were down.


I was to stay briefly in Douala as I had a flight to Vienna on the 25th, which I had to take. I left without my bags and everything I needed I had to buy.

Since my flights were scheduled weeks in advance, I had no option to change them because of this inconvenience.

I am from the United States and I will have to buy new clothing when I get home. I can't stay in one location to wait for something when the systems are down.


As a result, I need compensation.

I will attach the flight itinerary below as evidence that I could not stay in Douala.
I had to go to Vienna and then Belgrade.
I had no idea when I would get luggage nor where it was.

I have evidence of the systems being down but I will only release the phone call if this needs to be escalated.

I had an important meeting to attend Tuesday in Belgrade, and my computer, which was in the luggage, was missing.

I paid $800 for this and I have the invoice to prove it. I had to buy a new one. it costed me $550. I need $550 compensation.


I spent $50 on a backpack for my luggage. I have the invoice to prove it. I need $50 compensation.

I spent $10 on underwear, $40 on pants, $20 on shirts, $10 on tshirts. I have invoices of all of these.

I also, for emotional distress need compensation of $500. I had to wait over 3 hours for an answer in the airport and as of now, they came, but since I was not informed when they'd come or did they allow me to change delivery place, I got it delivered to my relatives there.

This has caused me to buy more clothes for my European part of the trip as I still don't have my stuff and wont for months as I am no longer in Douala.

I have receipts for the clothes I brought in Serbia.

I need compensation for this as well.

I encourage Brussels airlines to do what is right. I had an absolutely terrible experience.

Since you're systems were down and I have recordings of agents telling me they could not help for days, I expected a total loss.
