HomeSafe

The HomeSafe system offers a variety of features that help seniors stay safe at home and on the go. It includes a personal emergency response button that can be activated to call for help, plus an optional fall detection pendant with up to 95% accuracy* and a water resistant design that works in the shower or bathtub, where many falls occur.

HomeSafe’s equipment is leased, with no up-front costs. The monthly service fee includes equipment, shipping and activation. The system is compatible with most cellular phones, so it can be used anywhere there’s a signal. The system also offers up to 30 hours of battery backup and conducts regular status checks.

HomeSafe raises several challenges to the agency’s evaluation of the technical capability proposals. Specifically, it contends that the agency improperly downgraded HomeSafe’s proposal under the transition/volume phase-in subfactor.
GoSafe

GoSafe is an easy-to-use mobile medical alert system that enables subscribers to speak with the Philips Lifeline Response Center whether they are at home or on the go. It features AutoAlert fall detection and two-way voice communication directly through the pendant. It uses up to six advanced technologies to locate a subscriber, including GPS, WiFi, digital breadcrumbs and more.

If you press your mobile Help Button, a caring Response Centre associate will quickly access your profile and assess your situation. They’ll contact a friend or family member, or emergency services, based on your preferences.

Safety is at the forefront of all that goSafe does. They are proud to offer a number of comprehensive safety programs that go beyond standard equipment. These programs include an online Fall Protection Wizard that allows customers to design a horizontal lifeline system specific to their job specifications. The company also carries the most extensive inventory of industrial safety equipment in Texas.
Mobile Alerts

Whether you want to use your device while on-the-go or stay safe at home, Philips Lifeline has a system for you. Unlike other medical alert systems that charge extra for features like GPS tracking, their prices are all-inclusive. They also offer a do-it-yourself installation option and have a mobile app for communication and monitoring.

Originally founded in 1972 as Lifeline Systems, the company was purchased by Philips and changed its name to Philips Lifeline. Its response centers are located throughout the country and include multilingual operators.

Both providers also offer waterproof medical alert buttons and a mobile option for on-the-go protection.

In addition to their core offerings, both Philips Lifeline and Medical Guardian offer auxiliary services for seniors. These include medication dispensing and a caregiving monitoring digital platform called Lifeline Cares. Both companies also have a mobile app for easy system management and an online customer portal.

Lifeline offers a few different medical alarm systems, including the HomeSafe Standard, HomeSafe with AutoAlert and On the Go (formerly GoSafe 2) plans. All of these systems use either a landline or cellular connection and include automatic fall detection. The equipment can be self-installed or installed by a technician for an additional fee. All of the company’s plans have no long-term contract, although there are one-time fees for activation and installation along with monthly service charges.
