WATER CYCLE

EVAPORATION
the process when a liquid turns into a gas, and goes into the sky.
gets evaporated by the tempture of the sun. which is also called water vapor.

CONDENSATION
water vapor in the air changes into a liquid.
when a gas turns into a liquid state.

condensation is a warming process.

the process in which water vapor ( gas ) turns back into a liquid.
the reverse of evaporation.
condensation is caused by...
the warm water that collides with a cold surface.
OR
when there is too much humidity in your room/house in general.
water droplets that are in contact with humid air.

PRECIPITATION
a form of rain, sleet, hail, or snow. that comes from the sky/clouds.

COLLECTION
when water that falls from the sky/clouds like, rain, sleet, hail, or snow.
that then goes into water like, lakes, ponds, rivers, ocean, and streams

RUNOFF
when rain, or snow ( when melted ), flows down hill over the landscapes.
that then goes into streams, that soon go down into the ocean, or elsewhere, for drinking water.
NOT BEING ABSORBED IN THE GROUND

GROUND WATER
rain, or water of some sort that gets soaked in the ground soil, then stored between rock particles or soil.

TRANSPIRATION
when plants give off unneeded water
( gives off from the leaves )

SCIENTIFIC METHOD

scientific method
the process of confirming facts through testing and experimenting

SCIENTIFIC METHOD STEPS
1.
ask a question

do research about your question
3.
make a hypothesis ( what you think will happen, and could also be tested )
4.
test your hypothesis
5.
look at your experiment and see what is different or what changed about it
6.
confirm your experiment and draw the conclusion
7.
present the end product/findings

WEATHER
a short period of time, so maybe just one week

CLIMATE
weather over a long period of time, in a specific area.

COLD FRONT
forms when dense air mass pushes under a warm, lighter air mass.

cold fronts could bring severe weather such as thunderstorms, hail storms, and sometimes tornadoes.

WARM FRONT
this front can bring stormy weather
but usually just light rain, or light "winter precipitation"

MATH

integers are positive numbers, negative numbers, and zero.
any positive or negative number that does not include decimal parts or fractions.

positive + positive = add
8 + 5 = 13
negative + negative = add
(-8) + (-5) = -13
positive + negative = subtract
(8) + (-5) = 3
negative + positive = subtract
(-8) + (5) = -3

whenever you add 2 positive numbers it's always going to end up being positive.
