RED FLAGS = THE REASON ME AND ZACH WOULDN'T WORK:
1. HE DIDN'T REALLY PAY ATTENTION TO ME
a. HE DIDN'T NOTICE MY MASSIVE HAIRCUT EVEN THOUGH HE CLAIMED TO HAVE LIKED ME (like cmon man, noticing
things about your crush is a given)
b. HE DIDN'T REALLY PAY ATTENTION TO THE THINGS I SAID (ex. my birthday!!!, thought I liked texting on snap more (sept.17), my life/friends (sept.17), HE said we should ft to show playlists and FORGOT yet complained to me (sept.17), the movie I wanted to watch with him but then said I should watch it without him BUT got MAD when I did watch it (sept.17)
2. HE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND MY HUMOR/EMOJIS (like I wasn't fully myself with him because he just wouldn't get it)
3. HE ALWAYS COMPLAINED ABOUT ME BEING "DRY" (like bro, a good conversation can break through the "dryness" (sept.17), (sept.18))
4. ACTED DIFFERENT ON CALLS THEN TEXT
5. HE WOULD JUST IGNORE MY MESSAGES, ESPECIALLY ONE'S ASKING FOR CLARIFICATION (absolutely infuriating btw)
5a. COMPLETELY IGNORES THE FIRST QUESTION/MESSAGE IF TWO WERE SENT SIMULTANEOUSLY (sept.27-28, 30)
6. CLAIMED HIS BEST HUMOR/PERSONA WAS "IN-PERSON" (that's just an excuse if I've ever heard one)
7. 9.5/10 WOULD CHOOSE HIS FRIENDS OVER ME (which I know we weren't "official" for most of this, but it shows lack of
commitment to ME because you'd make time for the girl you apparently like -- and that time meaning NOT MIDNIGHT)
a. WE'D BE TALKING/TALK ABOUT FT AND THEN SUDDENLY HE WOULDN'T RESPOND FOR HOURS TO LATER JUST
REAPPEAR WITH THE "SORRY I WENT ROCKCLIMBING" "SORRY WENT TO EAT FOOD (for hours!?!)" OR JUST NO
EXPLANATION SOMETIMES (usually because he was watching a stupid BROWNS GAME)
b. (a little related) COULN'T DEAL WITH CALLING ME WITH HIS ROOMMATE IN THE ROOM (even though his roommate
would call HIS gf all the time with him there/ I called him with my roommate here and he's met her!)
8. WOULD TAKE HOURS TO RESPOND BUT THEN BE WEIRDLY PUSHY/CLINGY WHEN I DID IT BACK TO HIM (not even on
purpose)
8. CONSTANTLY "PRETENDING" TO BE JEALOUS (kinda cute and funny at first but honestly it was tiring and unfunny by the
second time)
9. ACTING EXACTLY HOW HE COMPLAINED I DID BUT NOT GIVING EXPLANATIONS
a. I EXPLAINED MYSELF SEPT.17
10. "VANILLA."
10a. (out of disgust I made it one point) CONSTANTLY ASKING AND TEASING ME ABOUT BEING VANILLA OR HOW VANILLA I'D BE IN PERSON EVEN AFTER I SAID IT MADE ME UNCOMFORTABLE AND ANXIOUS (he even had me taking the rice purity test (sept.18)) - THIS KEPT ME UP AT NIGHT
11. TWO-FACED
a. WOULD SAY SOMETHING THEN TAKE IT BACK WHEN I CALLED HIM OUT (ex. said he "likes being mean" but then takes it
back when I reminded him he literally told me before that that he is never mean like me (sept.17)-- he called this,
"pretending" OR claimed to be a "straightforward" guy, but constantly avoids addressing problems I tell/ask him about)
12. MEAN TO ME
a. ON CALLS HE'D HAVE A WEIRD PERSONA WHERE IT WAS DRY AND RUDE
b. OVER TEXT HE WOULD DO SOME TEASE-LIKE THINGS (which I'm normally a big fan of) BUT SOMEHOW ALWAYS
MANAGED TO TAKE SOME TO THE NEXT LEVEL WHERE I COULDN'T TELL HE WAS JOKING OR NOT (he thought
some compliments would make up for it ngl)
13. QUESTIONED MY COMMITMENT AND REASON FOR IT (which I honestly should've done more)
14. KEPT BRINGING UP HIS EX(ES) (I honestly don't know why this isn't at the top -- he did this ALOT)
15. FAVORITE SHOWS ARE WEIRD DREERY BRITISH SHOWS (just bad boring shows that I watched for him, but he never watched
my reccs other than Gilmore Girls and STILL complained)
16. WHATEVER THAT LAST MESSAGE SEPT.19 WAS ???
17. NEVER ANSWERED MY CALLS BUT GOT MAD THAT I "DIDN'T CALL HIM" OR "DIDN'T LET HIM KNOW I WAS FREE" (sept. 20)
18. HAD HIS SNAP NOTIFS OFF (like BRO I turned mine ON for YOU and you couldn't do the same - I turned on the vibration
notifs just to be aware which apparently he didn't think the same way)
19. WOULD LITERALLY DO ANYTHING HIS FRIENDS ASKED BECAUSE HE IS A "FOLLOWER" (including immediately hanging up on
me)
20. NEVER TOLD ME LIFE STORIES LIKE I TOLD HIM BECAUSE HE CLAIMED HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY (no way that's true because
literally everyone has some; I ended up telling so much about me compared to what I knew about him just because he "liked
hearing my stories")
21. MOVED ON FAST EVEN THOUGH HE CLAIMED TO NEED "TIME" BECAUSE HE LIKED ME MORE THAN I LIKED HIM (he
literally got with multiple girls within 6 days after the breakup -- the "time" was an excuse for why he straight up stopped
messaging me (sept.27))
22. KEPT LEAVING ME ON READ (I don't want to have the last word/message but he kept just not responding)

23. MADE ME ANXIOUS (like literally I had a rash on my arms and legs from the stress and anxiety and [magically] they
disappeared when we finally cut most contact)
a. still making me anxious to this day (sept.30) cause he just won't give me a straightforward answer about how much
contact we will have from now on


Now, this section is for red flags of his [kinda] unrelated to the relationship...
1. ALL LOWERCASE TYPING (that is reserved for the girlies)
2. DOESN'T USE PUNCTUATION (made some things mad confusing)
3. PUSHY (granted I knew this one going into the talking stage)
4. PUSHOVER (meaning he gives into peer pressure mad easily)
5. DISORGANIZED TEXTER IN MULTIPLE LINES
6. DOESN'T ANSWER/ADDRESS EVERY MESSAGE SENT TO HIM

Conclusion: WE WERE DOOMED FROM THE START. THE TIMING WAS ALWAYS OFF AND IN MY HOPELESS ROMANTIC MENTALITY I THOUGHT I COULD MAKE IT WORK (AND THAT I COULD CONVINCE MYSELF I LIKED HIM ENOUGH TO DO THAT). BUT REALITY SHOWED THAT HE WAS SIMPLY JUST A DUDE THAT BLINDED ME WITH THE BARE MINIMUM (WHICH I NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE). I WAS SAD AT FIRST WHEN IT ENDED BECAUSE HE STOPPED TALKING TO ME, BUT THEN I KINDA FORGOT HE EXISTED AND WOULD RANDOMLY KEEP APPEARING. IT WOULD NOT WORK OUT BECAUSE IT REALLY SHOULD NOT BE THIS HARD. I TRULY DON'T THINK HE EVEN ACTUALLY LIKED BE TBH. HE LITERALLY HAD JUST BROKEN UP WITH HIS LONG-TERM GF OF TWO YEARS AND SUDDENLY WAS READY FOR THE NEXT? NAH, I WAS THE EMOTIONAL REBOUND IN A GORGEOUS FORM (OBV). IT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED AND EVEN GOT ME ACCUSTOMED TO COLLEGE BUT IT IS OVER. IT WAS SEALED WHEN HE TOLD ME HE HAD ALREADY STARTED SEEING OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE THAT SHOWED ME HE TRULY WASN'T INTO ME. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING. PLUS, HE JUST ACCEPTED THE END WHICH NORMALLY I'D THINK WAS A GOOD THING BUT IF HE REALLY LIKED ME MORE HE WOULD HAVE FOUGHT ME ON IT EVEN JUST A LITTLE.
