The Mazda 6 Key Fob

The Mazda 6 carves out a niche among mid-sized sedans with elegant design and an engaging driving. Its standard naturally aspirated four-pot produces 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft and aids the six-speed auto-drive sedan speed up to 60 miles per hour in 7.9 seconds.

Its swoopy lines as well as the bold grille make it look more expensive than the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord it competes with.

Keyless Entry


You can unlock your Mazda 6 keyfob with a simple press of a button when the weather isn't ideal or you've completed around. You'll find the button on the back of the fob, under a silver key ring. You can also press a tiny button on the front of the fob to take out the manual key accessory and access the inside of the fob.

Use the auxiliary button located on the back of the Mazda key fob, and then take out the auxiliary keys made of metal. Use your screwdriver and gently pry the case open beginning with the first side. Once the case is opened, you can take out the auxiliary key, which is made of steel, and then the plastic battery cover.

Replace the battery. Be cautious not to damage its rubber ring. Then replace the battery cap and the key for the auxiliary. Reassemble the case until you hear a click.

Remote Start

The Mazda Advanced keyless entry system available on a variety of new models lets you control lock starting, unlocking and lock functions through your key fob. Some new Mazda's also include a three-year free trial of Mazda Connected Services which allows you to remotely lock and unlock your vehicle via an app on your smartphone as well as set temperatures in the cabin, locate your car and more.

You can also add a long-range RF kit to the Mazda 6 key fob, allowing it to start your car from further distances. You'll need a cellular phone with service and the appropriate apps to make this work.

If the KEY warning (red) light appears or the push button start (amber) light blinks, it could mean that the engine cannot be started using the normal starting method. (For vehicles equipped with an instrument cluster type A (Search), the instrument cluster displays messages). Do not hesitate to have your vehicle examined as soon as you can by an Authorized Mazda Repairer.

Keep your key fobs clean and lubricated to prevent rusting. Rotate your keys frequently so that one does not get more wear than the others, and replace your battery every year or when needed. You can purchase replacement CR2025 batteries at most auto parts stores. You can also order them from the Mazda website if you want to.

Security System

The Mazda 6's security system is designed to prevent thieves from starting the car by allowing the vehicle to start with an entry key that the system recognizes. The system can be disabled several ways, but the easiest is to remove the fuse. The fuse is located in the engine compartment, usually close to the ignition coil.

The 8.0-inch infotainment screen comes with Bluetooth streaming and smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto The base Sport does not include either of these features. The Mazda6 is equipped with the TomTom Navigation System that works well regardless of the trim. It provides a range of features, such as live traffic updates, automatic re-routing in accordance with current holdups and future expected destinations, and a database of interesting points.

Despite being a huge sedan, the Mazda6 offers a surprisingly comfortable ride for passengers. It has plenty of headroom and legroom for all five passengers, and the seats are also very comfortable. The suspension absorbs the majority of bumps, and there isn't much vibration or noise in the cabin. The Mazda6 is a great option for families who want the security, reliability, and fun-to-drive car.
