When fighting in a duo you must fight in sync to make sure the opponent(s) can't catch a break such as 1 will take a hit while the other counters if the opponent uses a heavy attack, it will slow them down enough for the duo to deal massive damage.

Example1: The person who is fighting the duo will have to disable one of them or try to face them both head on and tire/overpower them.
Example2: The incoordination will throw off the point of the 2v1 if they overpower you both you will need to change up the style and patterns you two fight with.
In a fight in the ring honor earns respect from the other fighter and the people watching such as not using any underhanded tactics and keeping the fight fair.
In a fight in the street honor is not an issue survival is the top priority use any tactics needed such as using your environment to your advantage and weapons if needed, running away is not cowardly.
