Life Movie Review not as good
Life Movie, the new Eddie Murphy-Martin Lawrence buddy comedy, is a surprisingly thoughtful movie. It tackles critical matters just like the jail system and the effects of racism, whereas still being a film that has you laughing out loud. The film additionally manages to find moments of actual heart and emotion within the midst of all of the silliness. It's a testament to both actors that they'll keep the energy up whereas addressing such difficult topics.

A group of scientists on the International Space Station are on the cutting edge of certainly one of humanity's best discoveries - the first evidence of extraterrestrial life. Unfortunately for them, that life kind soon proves much more clever than any of them may have imagined.

The premise of Life is an previous one, however director Daniel Espinosa (Easy Money) manages to make it work. He provides the film a bit of fashion and a few really horrifying body gore. And, most importantly, he makes certain that the strain never dies down. Despite the fact that Life suffers from an abundance of sci fi and horror tropes it's a tense, nail-biting thriller with some respectable acting.

While inferior to either Alien or Gravity, Life is a solidly entertaining movie. This is usually as a result of a great forged and a terrific score from Jon Ekstrand. And, although the movie has a couple of dialogue heavy scenes that don't fairly work and it does feel a bit like Alien lite, the motion is taught and the tempo would not decelerate.

As for the titular alien, it is a memorably disturbing monster. If you are a fan of outer-space motion pictures and have not already seen Passengers, then I would definitely suggest checking out Life. It may not break any new floor, but a good cast, an amazing rating and some really horrifying physique gore make it well value your time. If nothing else, it's going to reaffirm your choice to not be an astronaut. And, who knows? Maybe sometime we'll get an opportunity to see a face-hugger vs. a mollusk battle royale in a future installment of this franchise. I can't wait. See it in theaters on April 22.
