Lamia
Menurut Diodoros Sikolos, Lamia terlahir sebagai perempuan yang cantik anak dari raja Belos dari Mesir dan sebagai cucu Poseidon dan Lybie. Setelah kematian ayahnya, dia menjadi ratu Libya.
Lamia disukai oleh Zeus dan mereka pun melakukan hubungan cinta. Lamia melahirkan beberapa anak dari hubungan tersebut. Hera mengetahui hal tersebut dan membunuh semua anak Lamia. Lamia menjadi gila karena anak-anaknya mati dan kemudian mulai memakan anak-anak orang lain. Lama-kelamaan dia berubah menjadi monster.
Dalam Mitologi Yunani, Lamia (bahasa Yunani: Λάμια) adalah iblis setengah ular yang suka memakan bayi dalam mitos Yunani Kuno. Lamia awalnya adalah seorang ratu Libya yang cantik tetapi dia dimurkai oleh Hera.
