Supervillain - The End
"...as in, all good things must come to an end. Bwahahaha-hack, cough, oh yuck, I just swallowed my gum." -registered supervillain catch phrase for the book 'Top 100 Supervillains of the 20th Century'

Summary:
Dresses as "Death" and bills himself as a harbinger of the apocalypse and the final end of Life, the Universe, and Everything. For which he has been sued successfully no less than 22 times by the estate of Douglas Adams when using the line on television. The End likely could have been one of the greatest superheroes the world has ever known with his powers. Unfortunately, he decided that he would prefer to be evil because "good is dumb" (presumably after watching Spaceballs a few too many times). Plus, you know, also not really much of a challenge with the way his powers work.

Description:
The End is painfully average looking, not being in particularly good shape after a few attempts at "ending apathy" in himself ended with him in some extremely awkward situations after week long attempts to solve some inconsequential or unsolvable problem with his powers. Typically with no memory of what exactly happened and a marked desire in all of his minions to never enlighten him on the details. His "Death" costume varies based upon whatever pop culture variant has grabbed his attention at the time. Soul Eater, Discworld, Death Note and a few other instances are popular, but he frequently has a costume designer on his payroll and has been known to show up for a fight in some very esoteric outfits, including one notable attempt at Elsie from the World God Only Knows that so scarred his minions that they all summarily quit.

While his hair color frequently changes based upon his costume, his natural color is a mousy shade of brown that matches his eyes and his skin tone is fairly pale save for the dark bags under his eyes from too many nights spent marathoning through pirated television shows. He almost always carries a scythe of some kind on his person when "working", though he has no particular skill with it.

Powers:
The End's powers are somewhat metaphysical in that he can bring "endings" to things ranging from a time period in someone's life that ushers in a life transition such as a new career, a divorce, or a marriage; object (which might cause a gun to rust up and stop working); or even a conceptual entity-- though this last is almost always within a localized area and does not last outside of that. Unfortunately or fortunately, The End's powers and are largely determined by his mindset at any given time. Given that he is very easily influenced by movies, television, books, and other pop cultural elements, this means that his powers also tend to fluctuate and change from encounter to encounter.

Most of what doesn't change are a few strict limits-- namely his powers cannot cause the death of a sentient being either directly or indirectly (possibly due his survival instincts causing him to "end Death" in his vicinity). As far as anyone has been able to determine, no one has ever died in his attacks. His powers also don't typically extend beyond more than 500 or so feet, though this has varied wildly in the past such as the time he powered through all 50 episodes of Game of Thrones in a three day bender, screamed "God damn you, George R.R. Martin!" and people stopped dying the whole world over no matter how greviously injured they were for most of a week. His powers in general seem to have few long term seriously harmful effects-- possibly his subconscious mind working against him though no one knows for sure. The only other definitive "rule" for his powers seems to be that he can not directly end his own endings, though it is possible to work around this by working on related concepts.

Perhaps the most unique thing about The End is that his lackeys tend to be people who have no particular interest in crime, loot, or the other trappings of supervillainy. This is largely due one of the more consistent "endings" that he can bring about-- namely the end of a disease. Being the most successful "cure" for cancer, MS, and other highly debilitating diseases, he typically has his pick of about 10% of the world's population to hire on as his minions in return for his help. His right hand man for the past 5 years or so has been Stephen Hawking after the man finally got tired of people making fun of his voice synthesizer.
