"Yes, please." He replied with a small smile as he managed to get himself out of the fountain. His hair and clothes were soaked, clinging to his body. Lucien rung out his hair and clothes, trying to dry them off to the best of his ability.


The two of them made their way back to the castle, entering one of its empty hallways. As they walked, a female vampire with white hair and stunning ruby eyes approached them. She was dressed in an elegant Victorian dress, and she ignored Seraphina and instead walked towards Lucien. The woman gently kissed Lucien on the lips, a smug smirk on her face. "So this is where you were, love." The woman spoke gently, pulling back from Lucien. She carefully yet possessively took hold of Lucien's ascot, keeping a firm grip on it. "Ah, this is my fiancé, Evelyn Copperhart." Lucian introduced Evelyn to Seraphina. Eveyln glared at Seraphina, yet there was a look of hidden joy in her eyes. "Who is this, Lucian? She looks... poor. She's not trying to sleep with you for the night, is she? After all, I can smell a whore from a distance." Evelyn retorted, distain evident in her voice. Lucien's face flushed slightly and eyes narrowed in anger at Evelyn's words towards Seraphina.


"This is Seraphina Nightshade. I believe that her father and mine are close acquaintances, and it would be best if you treated her with the respect that she deserves. After all, she is the heir to the Nightshade business." Lucien explained, yet there was a hint of warning in his voice that seemed to be targeted towards Evelyn. Evelyn coughed slightly, her smirk faltering.
