เกวัดแรงดันน้ำ has equipped two full energy items (5 and 6) for the Changlongshan pumped storage plant in eastern China.

Earlier this month, unit 5 successfully passed a 15-day trial operation and was formally put into industrial operation. It is the world’s first reversible pumped storage unit with a rated velocity of 600 r/min and a capacity of 350 MW. There are six models put in in whole on the 2.1 GW Changlongshan station located in Zhejiang Province.
Voith says that the performance of unit 5 acquired excellent suggestions from the house owners and specialists in the industry.
“The information confirmed that the unit meets our excellence standards and thereby proves that the engineering, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the world’s first 600 r/min with 350 MW unit was profitable,” stated Zhang Chengping, mechanical and electrical chief engineer at plant operator the China Three Gorges Group (CTG).
