5 Fitness and Diet Tips to Survive the Holidays
The holidays certainly are a tough time of year to survive for some when it comes to staying fit or keeping up an eating plan. Rich food, busy schedules, and holiday shopping certainly are a three-headed monster with regards to your physique. There's Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and maybe a couple of holiday parties. We're considering five or six days out of two and a half months. Although you may have a busy holiday social schedule you'll save money amount of time in "normal days" than holidays if you arrange for it. Don't eat like it's a holiday when it's not.

4. Sustain your diet and fitness consistency. This fits in with number three. Among the big killers of holiday eating may be the lack of consistency. People will overeat at one party, then starve the very next day to compensate. Well, all that does is make sure they are so hungry they overeat the next evening.

This is similar to watching someone understanding how to ride a bike. They could start on the straight and narrow, but then they get a little wobble... We all know that what they should do is stop, stabilize, and restart. Instead they start overcompensating a proven way and then another, getting worse and worse with compensation. Soon each goes too much and crash. A holiday yo-yo dieter will do a similar thing until they finally throw their hands up and just get back to the way they was previously. That is the way they managed to gain five or ten pounds every holiday.

5. Eat vegetables and lean protein first. This tip is really a bit more specific than the others, but it works. At the infamous table covered with goodies, have a few trips around the vegetable platter prior to going after the other stuff. Taking some time to eat quality protein and fibrous vegetables can help fill you up.
