Holdem Betting Strategy - A Weird Tip You Wouldn't Think Would Work
After the second round is completed, the dealer burns a second card and then turns up "the turn". The betting starts again with the closest player to the left of the button.

It is played with a Limit bet arrangement. The bets are placed in increments. For example, in a $4/$8 limit, the bets will increase by $4 during the first 2 betting rounds, then $8 each of the following 3 betting rounds.

The game starts with a small bet known as an "ante". Players are then given two cards each, one face up, and one faced down. The pocket card refers to the face down card. As in 7-card stud poker, the player with the lowest face up card on the table has to start the betting. The next round begins with the player to his immediate left of the one who placed their first bet. Players can choose to fold, call or bet.

The biggest difference is that in hilo, both the highest- and lowest-hand players will split the pot. This happens only if there is a sufficiently low hand at the table. A hand must contain at least five cards of Eight, with no pairs, to be eligible for the "lo". If there are no hands of such nature, then the pot is won by the player who has the best hand. This version can be learned quickly if you have a good grasp of the rules of stud poker.

After the blinds have all been paid, each participant is dealt four cards from the dealer.
