Creamsicle Fudge And Creamsicle Recipes For Kids
Winter is nearly over and long days, warm weather, braais and swimming are all on the horizon. What else goes perfectly with days at the beach, kids playing, and adults relaxing over an extended lunch? Ice cream, fruit ice pops, creamsicles, and other things icy and delicious! If you are not one who would like to wait around for an ice cream truck when the craving hits, here are two excellent recipes for ice cream treats and popsicles that one could retain in your freezer. Oh sorry, when we said you...we meant your kids. Of course.
Chocolate creamsicle
Like chocolate ice cream but without the mess, a chocolate creamiscle can be quite a delicious afternoon snack for you personally or the kids.
Blend a can of coconut milk up with 4-5 tablespoons of cocoa powder, some vanilla or almond extract, and a touch of honey, sugar, or syrup for a few added sweetness. Freeze them and you will involve some delicious, creamy, fudgy popsicles in a few hours. If your children won't like the bitter taste of cocoa, you could mix unsweetened cocoa powder with some hot chocolate powder to give a milder taste.
Instead of the coconut milk also you can use normal milk or any milk alternative which will freeze well. The coconut milk does put in a level of flavour and creaminess that people enjoy though, so test it out for!
Berry bliss ice pop
Fruit ice pops are wonderful on a hot summer's day, and they're probably more desirable for very young children than ice cream. They're definitely healthier and more refreshing, so long as you know how to make them right! Because fruit is naturally sweet, you may be able to get away with not adding any sugar.
For a yummy berry bliss ice pop, start by grabbing some of your favourite berries. Fresh is better, but frozen will continue to work too. We like strawberries, raspberries, pomegranates, blueberries and even blackberries or gooseberries if you can see them. Whiz the berries up in the blender until they're very smooth. You can include some apple juice or water if your blender isn't that high powered. Taste to see if you want some extra sweetness. If you do, you can utilize honey or you can include a banana to your fruit mix. Whichever you select, remember to blend the entire mixture once again before freezing.
If you're up for a little more effort than in order to make these a lot more exciting, you can layer the fruit with yoghurt, making a berries and cream popsicle that tastes great and looks amazing. The youngsters will love it!
