How to Make a Latex Dress
Latex is slinky and figure-hugging, which is flattering for any body shape. But it can also be tricky to get into, especially if it’s tight. The key is to gently slip it on, without pulling or pinching. That can damage the material or cause it to stretch out of shape. So you should always start by rolling the garment along the seams before slipping it on. This also helps prevent it from ripping as you’re putting it on.

Another thing to consider is that latex is slippery, so it’s a good idea to wear cotton gloves when putting on your outfit, and to avoid any metal jewelry or body lotions, which can scratch or tear the fabric. You should also use a Latex Lubricant to help slide the garment on, and to make it feel more luxurious against your skin.

In addition to using lubricant, the best way to clean latex is by hand-washing it in warm water with a little bit of gentle soap. You can then rinse it thoroughly, and let it drip dry (not in a dryer!). latex clothing can also hang it to dry, but only in a place where it won’t come into contact with any metal surfaces or direct sunlight. Then, when you’re ready to wear it again, you should polish the surface to give it a nice shine.

While Kim Kardashian’s Skims collection of latex pieces is affordable for those who are experimenting with the trend or want to emulate her look, the low quality and lack of care instructions can negatively impact expectations and lead to damaged or discolored clothing. For people who are unfamiliar with latex, this could create a bad impression and discourage them from trying the fabric again in the future.

It’s important to know for whom you’re making your latex outfit, because that will influence the design and thickness of the fabric. Someone who is going to be wearing it in a sensual environment will require a different thickness than someone who’s just using it for everyday clothing.
