With this scholarship, the burden of tuition and college costs will be levitated off me and my family. I would not have to worry about matters that will keep me up at night, wondering how everything is going to work. Not everyone in my family has gone off to college and finished because of various things, and in some cases, money was the problem. I desire to make my family and myself proud and go after the dream I hope will become, one day, my reality. My dream is to go to school, obtain my BSN, and move from there, to the doctor steps, becoming a Neonatologist. I was born too early, and I was a premature baby in the NICU, and even with a brush of a finger from my visitors, the machine I was hooked up to would go off. I was tiny and premature, and my family awaited the day the doctors said I could finally come home. As I matured in my understanding as I grew up, and heard my story, I wondered what it would be like, to be a doctor who specializes in this field of medicine. I researched, grew in my desire to understand what these kinds of doctors did, and became obsessed with medical TV shows, programs, activities, and opportunities, now I am in the last year of the Medical Academy at my school, going after what I only dreamt. This is what I hope this scholarship will do for me.
