The occupants still had to use keys to open and close their doors. This was a huge problem for many and Renault engineers determined to fix it.

So, they decided to integrate a contactless card into their vehicles and develop a system that would enable drivers to open and start their cars by simply waving a hand. The card key is now found in two of three Renault vehicles. Whether it's located in the ignition barrel, or in the centre console, the car will unlock when the card is near and secure itself automatically when moved away. The design

The keyless entry system
