Following the first deal is the first round of betting. After betting, the first round of community cards will be dealt face up to the table by the dealer. The Flop is the first round and exposes three cards. The next round sees players again place bets, starting with dealer's left. Any player who refuses to call or agrees to pay the bet forfeits his cards and leaves the game. All remaining players then view the Turn, the fourth community card. After betting, the last community card is revealed in the River. The last bets are made and the remaining players reveal their 5-card hand.

The next stage in the game is the flop. The dealer begins by discarding a single card. This means he puts it in the discard pile. He then places three cards face-up at the table. These are the flop.

After the first betting round is over, the dealer places 3 cards face down in the middle of each table. This is known as the "flop". These 3 cards can be shared by all players to make their final Hands. The players now have 5 of the 7 cards available and can see how their hand is developing. This is the start of the second betting round.

While straight is a three-card hands game, draw poker uses five-card hands. After a complete hand has been dealt and players have placed their wagers, they can change their hands by discarding an unsuitable card and dealing with new hands. This variant has many variations, including California lowball, Gardena jackpots and Kansas City lowball, Badugi and Baduci, California high/low splitting, Q-ball, California high/low, and others.

The pre-flop round of wagering begins, which is before the flop or before the first three community cards have been turned over. The player to one's left of a dealer posts the small and big blinds. The player on the other side of the small blind posts a big blind. The big blind is twice that of the small blind. If you play limit hold'em the big blind equals the small limit while the small blind is half. If the limit was $10/20, the bigblind would be $10 and the smallblind would be $5.

After the blinds have been posted each player is dealt four face-down cards by the dealer. This starts from the small blind. Then the dealer continues clockwise. The first round begins with the player in the large blind left. This player can choose to call or raise, or fold. The 1st round continues until the player who posted little blind wins. These cards are called community cards. The flop is the next stage of the game. The minimum bet remains at 4 greenbacks. This round of betting starts with the player to the dealers left. After this gambling round, the dealer will place the last community card in the middle of the table, which is commonly known as the stream.
