I am interested in studying Social Science and humanities. I have considered taking A-levels in similar subjects like phycology, history and sociology, but this course ticks all the boxes. At school I enjoyed history, in particular the units on medcine and wiemar Germany. Although, I have previously taken a creative pathway and found the last year very difficult to decipher where I want to go in life, I have realised that I wish to follow a more academic route which has creative elements. After school, I felt I wanted to take a creative course. I have been very overwhelmed by having to make such choices but after having time to think this summer I realise that I want to follow a path that is both creative and academic, looking into life, ideas about life and how that impacts on art and the human psyche.
This year, I have been reading and watching talks about philosophy and philosophical ideas including ways of interpreting existence and I have been interested by the ideas of Kant and Nietzsche and reading books by Kafka and most recently A Clockwork Orange.
I have always had a love for art, i think that love can translate into topics on this course
