How to Replace a Saab 93 Key Fob

All cars should have a remote or transmitter that can lock or unlock your car. The batteries inside these devices are able to last for and can eventually go bad.

If you are thinking of buying a Saab 93 and don't have two keys, you can purchase one for about $400. This is done by purchasing a TWICE Module from the dealer, then installing it with a handheld device dubbed Tech2. saab key programmer .

The process is more affordable when you have an extra. The new key needs to be compatible to the original TWICE module and a pre-owned one is unlikely to function in this way, but genuine OEM replacement is usually purchased from a dealer for only a fraction of the price.

It is easy to take the case from a brand new SAAB Key Fob. You can use a flathead screwdriver to pry the case open, but be careful not to harm the electronics inside. After you have removed the electronics and battery, you can fit the new case inside the existing shell of the fob. Make sure that you align the two parts and gently press them together so that they click into the right position. After the new key is installed, you can resynchronize it. Be aware that the process of adding a key is more complicated than replacing an emergency key. The dealer will have to use a specific tool called the Tech-2.

Keys to Reset the Ignition

If your car's ignition key doesn't engage in the ignition, or it won't start when you press the starter button, you must first ensure the transmission is in Park. This will stop the car from rolling in the event that the lock on your transmission fails or if your manual transmission pops into gear.

Most dealers can also do this, however it may take several weeks to get both the part and car programmed.

Replacement Remotes

The Saab 9-3 cabin has been designed with the driver in mind. It has logical layouts aswell being a touch. In terms of power the 9-3 is a competent performer. Its base low pressure turbo model takes about 8 seconds to reach speeds of 60 mph. The more powerful Viggen can reach 60 mph in just 6.9 seconds.

One of the key factors in this car's success is its excellent handling. Despite its nose-heavy 60/40 front-to-rear weight distribution, the Turbo X feels agile and comfortable on two-lane highways.

Fuel economy is the main disadvantage to this car's remarkable performance. It's rated at around 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg in highway driving with the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. The Turbo X special edition with more power will be available for 2008 only. This model includes a unique rear seat that folds flat onto the floor, which adds to cargo capacity. It also features a unique rear spoiler and more aggressive bumper.
