Japanese expats warned about terrorist attacks in Southeast Asia
Japanese citizens dwelling in Thailand reportedly received an e mail warning about potential terrorist assaults in Southeast Asia. The alert advises Japanese expats in six nations to stay away from religious services and crowds, in accordance with the Associated Press. โซล่าเซลล์ of Foreign Affairs informed AP reporters that the warning was due to “increased risks similar to of suicide bombings.”

The news that Japanese MFA’s despatched emails to Japanese residents in Southeast Asia towards potential terrorist acts, the Japanese embassy in Thailand informed that it was an instruction from the Japanese MFA and couldn't elaborate on the data and it was NOT specific to Thailand.
According to Nation Thailand, the Japanase Embassy told Thai authorities that a comparable e mail warning of attainable terrorist attacks was sent to Japanese citizens in Myanmar, Singapore, and Malaysia.
The overseas ministry’s spokesperson was quoted in the Bangkok Post, saying Japan’s MFA had “not specified the source of knowledge leading it to issue the terrorism alert or as to what exact locations in the area that the alert is referring to in particular.”


“The embassy couldn’t elaborate on the alert both as it has no additional information aside from that supplied within the terrorism alert in query.”

The Bangkok Post mentioned the Royal Thai Police also “played down” the terrorism threat. A deputy spokesman for the Royal Thai Police said the alert is general warning that was merely issued at certain time intervals.
“Security authorities and the Special Branch Bureau have insisted that there aren't any indicators of any new terrorist assaults being plotted in or targeting Thailand in the intervening time.”
