There are many methods to play Big Slick, A-K in a Sit N Go game (SNG), but there are some that are more effective and will get you closer to a winning hand. First, identify what the maximum stack sizes of chips are before you consider when you will make the call.

Pre-Flop

I can not stress enough, do not call the all in bet before the flop with hands like AT/AQ, AK, JJ, or 22. There are 9 outs. You will need an A, or a K. Calling could result in you losing to a better hand. With hands like AQ (22, 99), 88,67, or 666, I prefer going all-in before the turn. A lot of players prefer to play for all their cards in position. That is a strategy well suited for the situation in the SNG that I play in.

Remember that chips are more important than position. Always be aggressive in the early position, and tight in the latter. Always go all-in when you are in an early position. I prefer to play conservatively when I'm playing in a SNG where there are many limpers in the blinds. If I have a monster, and other players are generally playing tight, then I play a bit more aggressively. I call for all my chips late and call for the rest of my stack.
