Mystic Doctor Strange Costume
Doctor Strange, Master of Mystic Arts and Sorcerer Supreme is a top choice among Marvel fans who want to cosplay. His costumes, however, are very specific and take a lot to get right.


In the end, costume designer Alexandra Byrne created an origami of designs that depict Stephen Strange's journey of emotional enlightenment and true power.


The Classic


The mystical superhero Doctor Strange is a fan beloved character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He guards the world from threats from the other dimensions as Master of the Mystic Arts and the Sorcerer Supreme. The character started out as a neurosurgeon prior to seeking a cure for his physical ailments, and then becoming a sorcerer. His mystical costume is a mix of classical super-hero elements as well as Nepalese/Tibetan monk attire.


His tunic combines dark blue with an sash and a distinctive large belt for an appearance that feels exotic and mysterious. The cloak provides a sense of power and elegance to the character.

The Earth-TRN196


Being one of the most active characters in the Marvel Universe, Doctor Strange frequently makes appearances in various realities and alternate futures. In the various pockets Doctor Strange, the master of Mystic Arts cloaks himself in various styles.


This rendition of Doctor Strange from the Earth-TRN196 pocket dimension is reminiscent of South Asian fantasy with a mohawk as well as beads and padding on the armor. This cool costume is enhanced with a ring of LEDs that light up the Eye of Agamotto.


In the early aughts, Doctor Strange forwent his runic robes and adopted a simpler look that echoed Nepalese monk's clothing. Although it lasted only a few years, this subdued incarnation of the sorcerer was able to bring back the sense of the controlled flamboyance that was so important to his character.


For a time in the MU in the MU, Doctor Strange used an augmented technology to alter his body to that of Jamie Madrox, a mutant who could resurrect himself at will. The resultant look is a mixture of Silver Age spandex and the astral aesthetics of the afterlife.


Ghostly


Doctor Strange is one of the most mystically inclined heroes from the multiverse. Although he's been an Avenger and Defender, his ultimate role is the one of Sorcerer Supreme. The costume is also a bit simple the one he chose is an elegant and effective riff of Ditko's original. The Cloak of Levitation will cover an eerie blue tunic, the pants and kimono.
