Colter Wall who is a native of Saskatchewan, sings and writes, performs with the gritty bluegrass trailblazers The Dead South. He also recruited Music City producer Dave Cobb, who'd worked with artists like Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, and Lori McKenna. Songs of the Plains, recorded in Nashville's Studio A combines original folk songs, well-chosen outtakes as well as traditional songs from Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
