1 Create a copy of PBC GL and call it FORVIS GL - the rest of the steps will be performed on FORVIS GL tab
2 Delete rows 1-9
3 Unmerge all cells (CTRL+A -> ALT+H+M+U)
4 ASAP Utilities -> Columns and Rows -> delete all empty rows
5 ASAP Utilities -> Columns and Rows -> delete all empty rows
6 Add a filter to entire population (CTRL+A -> CTRL+Shift+L)
7 Filter Column A to only show "Account:"
8 Add two new columns ahead of column A
9 In new column A, "=D1"
10 In new column B, "=H1"
11 Copy A1 & B1 -> Paste formulas in all cells below
12 Unfilter Population
13 Highlight entire population in columns A&B - > ASAP Utilities -> Fill -> #3 Fill to selections below…
14 Copy and Paste Value is columns A&B
15 Filter Column C - exclude all dates and delete all visible rows
16 Unfilter column C
17 In the debits and credit columns (K&L) - convert all to numbers
18 In column M - enter formula (Debits - Credits) to get FORVIS Balance (MAKE SURE IT NETS TO ZERO)
19 Drop in names on the columns (primarily the ones we are worried about are account name, account number, date, debits, credits, and FORVIS Balance)
Completeness Testing Steps
1 With so few accounts, FORVIS chose to perform Completeness Testing outside of TeamMate Analytics
2 Used a Sumif to sum account numbers in the Summary tab.
3 Copied the TB Trial Balance to the completeness tab and deleted all columns except Account, Description, 2021 FINAL balance and 2022 UNADJ balance
4 Replaced all income statement beginning balances with Zeroes
5 Used a vlookup formula to sum activity by account number and ensured all accounts rolled forward.
