Urban Outfitters Offers Haim Merchandise
Fierce sister band Haim recently launched a tongue-in-cheek collection of merch in partnership with Urban Outfitters. The three tees feature phrases such as "WTF is Haim?" Haim?" The tees have phrases like "WTF Is a Haim?" and "GO HAIM or HOME." The t-shirts are available in UO stores and on the internet for just $25. Haim formed of Este, Danielle, and Alana, rose to fame following their debut album Days Are Gone was released in 2013. The follow-up album, Something to Tell You which was released in 2020 is a fresh and tender ode to Seventies FM pop and rock, with nods to Laurel Canyon's best hits and most notable, Joni Mitchell.


Something to Tell You found the Haims flying high, opening for Taylor Swift and Rihanna, performing at major festivals across the world and collaborating with Calvin Harris and Major Lazer. With all the media attention, it's difficult not to feel a little disappointed by the four tracks on WIMPIII. The record's nimble production featuring regular collaborators Ariel Rechtshaid and Rostam Batmanglij is a slash the polished surface which adds roughness to the electronic pop of "I Know All by myself" as well as a dramatic Cass Mcombs guitar that leads to the dark, slow-burn of "All That Ever Mattered."



Although the sisters keep the same sassy, egalitarian spirit that they've established in their music but there's a greater vulnerability on WIMPIII, particularly in their lyrics. Similar to the guy from the magazine who offers Danielle a starter guitar on "Los Angeles,"" the sisters have an affectionate reminiscence for their home town and a unapologetic desire to discover their own path ahead.


Haim has been able to utilize their success to become activists. Haim Hoodies 've published photos from the recent Black Lives Matter protests in Los Angeles, and called on Mayor Garcetti to prosecute police officers who kill people. The increased exposure makes them more appealing to their audience, and it's no secret that they feel an almost familial bond with their fans.


The trio also has developed a sense of sisterly camaraderie that is evident in the way they work together, the intimacy of their vocal harmonies and their love for fashion and dancing. They tend to show off their style with their looks, including the recent collaboration with Chanel and their fashion-forward aesthetic is definitely reflected in this latest line of merch.
