Try Minecraft: Education Edition for free

Minecraft Education Edition is free to all! You can try Minecraft: Education Edition free of charge through the demo lesson or the free trial. The free trial requires you to have an account, either an Office 365 Education account or a Microsoft 365 account. You do not need an account or log-in in to use the demo lesson. This article will explain how to use the demo lesson and the free trial.
Technical requirements
Minecraft: Education Edition can be played on Chromebook, iPad, Mac and PC. To make sure that Minecraft: Education Edition is compatible with your device, go through the System Requirements article.
About the free trial
The free trial is fully functional and comes with all the features of the paid version. The trial is compatible with Code Connection and Classroom Mode. These features are described in the Get Started with Code Connection and Get Startted with Classroom Mode articles.
The trial is limited to the number of logins (25 for teachers with an Office 365 Education account and 10 for all other users) before you can purchase a paid license to continue playing. Trial logins cannot not be renewed. Please contact our support team immediately if you have any problems. After your trial logins have been used, Minecraft: Education Edition is available for purchase.

About the demo lessons
Demo lessons let you try Minecraft: Education Edition at no cost and without an account. Demo lessons are limited in functionality. Worlds and progress cannot be saved and it's impossible to host or participate in multiplayer games. A demo lesson gives you to experience a real lesson in Minecraft: Education Edition. There is no limit on the number of times you play every demo lesson.
Start a demo lesson
These steps will enable you to take a no-cost lesson.
From the Get Minecraft: Education Edition download page, select the version of Minecraft: Education Edition to download that is compatible with your device. The Minecraft: Education Edition you downloaded should be installed. Start Minecraft Education Edition. At the Welcome To Minecraft: Education edition screen, click . If you don't have an account, you can use a demo lesson. To view the license agreement, select View Terms. If you are ready to play, select Accept the Terms and Play. Select Start Lesson. You can access lessons using the lock overlay after signing in to the game with a licensed account, or one that is suitable for trial.
